Schools Program
The U.S. Department of Education says that when schools integrate character education into their classrooms, they experience fewer disciplinary referrals and improved attendance, contributing to a safer environment for learning. As such, character education is mandated by the federal government under the No Child Left Behind Act.
Unfortunately, many schools lack the resources and materials to comply.
That's where Corporations For Character and the business community can bridge the gap. While many businesses donate funds to their area schools, your charitable dollars can go much further when you sponsor a Character Education program for every classroom, ensuring that all children learn values such as respect, responsibility and good citizenship. We can customize a program to suit any budget, whether you wish to supply one small rural school or a large urban school district.
To date, our Character Education materials are available at nearly 8,000 elementary schools across the country, at no cost to the schools.
How It Works
We have 8 character building modules to choose from. Each module is comprised of an award-winning, character-building movie and associated lesson plan so that teachers can effectively discuss and reinforce the values depicted in the films.
Your business will be touted as the sponsor on the forms sent home to parents announcing the program. Pricing is based on the number of students in a school. Just tell us which schools or neighborhoods you'd like to support and we'll provide the options - one module to all eight; for each classroom or every student.
